Writer: Julie ManleyJulie Manley

Another study looking at stem cell injections to improve function following spinal cord injury. This one injected fetal neural stem cells near or on the spinal cord above and below the damaged site. They used a man with quadriplegia and he has shown a significant improvement in function (both motor and sensory improvements). They are now recruiting 40 quadriplegics for phase 2 trials.
