Interesting study - females may have difference in vestibular nerve

This study looked at 10 female and 10 male cadavers and compared peripheral nerves. They concluded that females had less myelinated axons in the vestibular nerve. This could be one reason why vestibular disorders are more common in women.

Vestibular nerve dysfunction causes symptoms of dizziness and loss of balance which can cause further symptoms of vision sensitivities, headaches, nausea and fatigue.
