Exercise classes provide support, structure and accountability

Researchers found working out in a group lowers stress by 26% and significantly improves quality of life, while those who exercise individually put in more effort but experienced no significant changes in their stress level and a limited improvement to quality of life.

"The communal benefits of coming together with friends and colleagues, and doing something difficult, while encouraging one another, pays dividends beyond exercising alone,"

At Active Living we have several small group exercise classes. These classes provide support, structure and accountability.

Our physiotherapists assess our clients and when it is appropriate, suggest a class that would be a good fit for them. Currently we have classes for:

-Falls Prevention

-Parkinson’s

-Stroke

-Spinal cord injury

-Mild traumatic brain injury

-Neurological rehabilitation

In both our open-environment clinic and in these small exercise classes, our clients get to know each other and help inspire and cheer each other on. Call us to find out more about our classes.
