Exercise and Memory

I found an interesting article this week about the effect of even a brief bout of exercise on memory. In the study published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, they have found that even very light workouts can rapidly help promote more connectivity between areas of the brain that are responsible for memory formation and storage. They even mention how short walking breaks throughout the day may help with improving memory and cognition.

Just another reason to try and get more active! Now that it isn’t so hot out, try going out for a couple of short walks in the day. I’m sure your dog will thank you for it too!
